DESCRIPTION
Sanctuary makes up the northern half of the Caldera Border Zone and was the Alliance's first foothold in Wellspring, which was initially liberated during a two-stage blitzkrieg by guerrilla warships under Ezekiel Malkali.  Its capture played an instrumental role in supplying the Resistance with ships and technology, which marked the dawn of the proletariat as a capable space power for the first time since the Cataclysm.

Sanctuary was reclaimed with overwhelming force only days later, where it was blockaded under strict TECORA quarantine against further incursions along the Caldera Border Zone, but Alliance forces had already withdrawn to the outer regions, putting the spoils of war to good use in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

DESCRIPTION
The Azores is a large planetary system which marks the outer boundary of Wellspring, and was one of the farthest territories from the Resistance during the Insurrection.  While not officially a part of the nebula, its significance to Conglomerate mining efforts has earned it citizenship in the region to avoid the negative connotations often attributed to Sheol and the Void.  So named for the fabled archipelago of old Earth, Azores is currently home to the largest mining and manufacturing colonies in the settled world, and stretches over several billion kilometers of asteroid-rich space.
